Adam J Schwartz is a Los Angeles-based attorney with more than 16 years of experience serving businesses of all sizes. Today, he focuses on providing a full-service legal solution for creative professionals and their small businesses across all disciplines.

Prior to earning his law degree and practicing in the litigation group at a premier firm in Washington, D.C., Adam studied cinematography and worked in the film industry. Adam’s clients benefit from the perspective of a fellow entrepreneur with a passion for all forms of artistic expression. Further, his clients’ interests are protected by an accomplished negotiator and trial lawyer who has represented Fortune 500 companies in disputes worth millions of dollars.

• Successfully obtained dismissal of federal trademark litigation on motion to dismiss claim related to an ownership claim of the mark of a historic lodging house

• Defending two individuals wrongfully accused of violations of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act against nonprofit organization they formerly founded

• Defended publishing imprint against false allegations of defamation by author, resulting in plaintiff dismissing case with prejudice on eve of client’s anti-SLAPP filing

• Defended employer against false allegations of racial and sexual harassment by former employee, resulting in total victory on summary judgment

• Drafted anti-SLAPP motion for a three-decade global music superstar to strike defamation claims from baseless lawsuit

• Successfully mediated copyright dispute between an architectural firm and an engineer with favorable result for client

• Successfully settled defamation dispute between a musician and a television producer with a resolution acceptable to all parties


• Served as production legal counsel to independent film shooting in Orlando and Miami, Florida, including securing a distribution deal for the film

• Legal counsel to an independent video producer specializing in for-hire production across a wide range of genres


• 10+ year general counsel relationship with healthcare comic book company focused on producing educational comics and interactive videos for hospitals and research institutions
